The Vienna University of Technology
is pleased to invite you to the 11th International Symposium on Location-Based Services in Vienna,
As we do not expect any future changes on this website, we decided to transfer it to a static archive. This might result in some errors if you want to use interactive or non-static features of this website. We are sorry for that, but this measure will ensure that this site's information stays available online.
The presentation slides of most of the conference presentations are online available on the program page. In case you are not happy with your presentation being published online, please contact Haosheng Huang via info@lbs2014.org.
You might also want to have a look at a great summary of the conference on Storify, which was compiled by Anita Graser from Austria. Thx, Anita.
We would like to thank all the presenters for their interesting work, and all the participants for their active participation. Hope to meet you again in LBS 2015, in Augsburg, Germany.

Selected papers from LBS 2014 have been published in the book "Progress in Location-Based Services 2014", in Springer's Lecture Notes in Geoinformation and Cartography. Click here to read the book online.
We are happy to announce that WIGeoGIS, one of the leading companies in spatial business intelligence and geomarketing in Europe, will co-sponsor LBS 2014. Welcome!
We are proud to announce three keynote speakers for LBS 2014, and they are Prof. Liqiu Meng (Technische Universität München), Prof. Chris Rizos (University of New South Wales), and Prof. Jürgen Döllner (University of Potsdam). For more information regarding the keynotes, please visit here.
Our first preliminary program is online. We ask all authors to check it and confirm it by registering before 24 October 2014. (At least one presenter per paper. If you did so already, you can ignore this, of course.)
As we have a high number of presenters we decided to have short time slots of 10 and 15 minutes to allow for more time for networking in the breaks.
Due to several requests, we have extended the deadline for camera-ready submissions for the digital proceedings to 29 October 2014. Please use the submission guideline "Contributions accepted for the digital proceedings".
Please note that there will be no further extension of the deadline. Looking forward to meeting you in Vienna!
We invite you to a two-day hands-on workshop on "Open Source GIS and Modern Webmapping", which will be held on November 24th and 25th in Vienna, Austria, immediately prior to the LBS2014/SOMAP2014 conference. Registration for this workshop is free. For more information, please click here .
Early Bird rates have been extended to 5 October, 2014. Please click here to register .
